Gokul does province proud

GRADE 4 pupils from Gokul Primary School in Isipingo have done Durban and KZN proud.

The school entered the Supersport Let’s Play Physical Education Challenge and have progressed to the finals, where they will compete against the top schools from each province in November.

The competition aims to promote physical education in schools.

The objective of the challenge is to see how many pupils can go through an obstacle course in the allocated time frame of 45 minutes.

After the initial round, Gokul Primary qualified for the semi-finals which were held on Friday. The 50 Grade 4 pupils emerged victorious propelling them to number one status in KwaZulu-Natal.

Proud principal Niren Naidoo was over the moon.

He said the school offered 10 sports codes and the prize, which is a fully-installed multipurpose sports court worth R1.1 million, would “most certainly be used to maximum benefit if they win”.
