Anti-Muslim slogans threaten world peace
THE appearance of antiMuslim slogans on public and private property in Gauteng is extremely disturbing. Racist and religious bigots seem even more excited to justify violence. Hatred and fear of Islam is the new engine of 21st century western demagoguery.
There is minimal selfawareness. These people’s greatest fear is that they might have to hold up a mirror to their own souls and see the diseased, twisted nature of what they have allowed to reside there.
The media speaks for the empire and warfare. Islam is the current enemy du jour. In the words of Michel Chossudovsky: “A war of religion is unfolding with a view to justifying a global military crusade. In the inner consciousness of many demented souls, the holy crusade against Muslims is justified.”
Muslims were not born to threaten anybody. If trends continue as they have during the last 50 years, we will soon reach a point of no return, and can only anticipate low level wars disguised as noble gestures for peace. Such an era could culminate in a third world war. A war to end all wars. FAROUK ARAIE
