ONE of three people who died in an accident on the R61 between Queenstown and Cofimvaba after a minibus taxi allegedly crashed into a stationary truck on October 3 has not been identified.

The Rep reported (“Three die in R61 crash,” October 9) that two identified women and a man died on the scene. Police spokesman lieutenant Namhla Mdleleni at the time said the remainder of the 11 passengers in the minibus suffered minor injuries and were released from Frontier Hospital.

This week, Mdleleni said a 26-year-old man, who had been wearing blue jeans and a red T-shirt, remained in the police mortuary. Anyone able to identify him can contact Mdleleni on 082-779 7237 or constable Vuyo Nyala on 072-645 5551.
