Two claim betterball golf crown

– On Saturday, the Elliott’s Attorneys’ sponsored golf day was held at the country club. It was a betterball Stableford competitio­n.

The winners on 50 points, were Neil Randall and Andries Greeff followed by Buck King and Gary Cawthorn on 49 points. In third place were Martin and Nicky Flanegan on 46 points and in fourth place on 45 points, Derek Jones and Trevor Bennett. The prize for most golf went to Mandy Douglas and Eleanor Sparks. Buck King had a two club.

On Saturday May 21, the men’s hockey side lost their match against Duncan Village 1-3. Ryan Phelan scored the goal for Stutt. On Saturday May 28, they played Buffs and lost 2-3. Stutt’s goals were scored by Morné Ristow and Jean Petzer.

The women’s B team played against Parkside last weekend. They unfortunat­ely lost 0-7.

Last Saturday, 32 athletes completed parkrun’s event #83 in perfect weather conditions. Len Norman completed his 50th parkrun, thus joining the ranks of Club 50. He is Stutt’s most senior parkrunner to have achieved this status so far. He has done all 50 runs here and is also one of the dedicated band of volunteers with 30 volunteer stints behind his name. His best time for walking the 5km route, is 39.44 mins.

– Round Table 103 will be holding their Annual Stutt Stumble at Eagles Ridge on Saturday June 11 starting with the 15km run at 9.30am, followed by the 15km walk at 9.40am and the 5km walk/run at 9.45am. For those who wish to do parkrun before the Stumble, they will also have a registrati­on point at the Stutterhei­m parkrun’s start at the Stutterhei­m Country Club.

The Eagles Ridge Farmers’ Market takes place on the same morning.
