Response officers have a busy week
RED Guard response officers, attending to a panic button being activated at a local store, found that a woman was allegedly being held against her will last Tuesday, operations manager Willie Reynecke said.
The woman was removed from the premises and taken to the police station to lay a charge.
On Thursday, a response officer noticed an injured person in Berry Street at 10am.
He had been stabbed and robbed of his phone and cash. The police and ambulance were called to assist.
On Friday, a technician noticed two suspects allegedly stealing paint from a vehicle near the Hexagon and called for assistance. Response officers were dispatched and two suspects were apprehended and handed over to the police.
Response officers on patrol on Saturday apprehended two suspects who were allegedly found to be stealing cooldrinks. They were handed over to the police.
A Komani Hospital patient who had allegedly escaped from the facility was found in the central business district after a security officer alerted the Red Guard office.
He was handed over to the police.
