Debating: Derby day v Clarendon: The senior debating team and junior debating team won against Clarendon with Cwenga Gosa voted as best junior speaker

The chess team lost 1.5 to 2.5 against Clarendon

This year Girls’ High School sent 12 codes to participat­e in the All Girls’ School Festival. This festival was hosted by Pretoria Girls’ High School. A special mention of the four squash girls who won the gold medal and Yanga Malotana who won first place in the senior public speaking section. Thanks go to the staff and pupils who represente­d the school and the parent body who made it financiall­y possible to participat­e in the event. Chess: fourth Debating: second Public speaking: Yanga Malotana (Grade 12) best senior speaker and Phelele Bula second. Julia Osorio chosen for showcase event Serenade: third Visual art: exhibition only Masterchef: no rankings Hockey: 17th Netball: 20th Golf: second Squash: first Tennis: 16th. Zintle Yaka won five out of six matches.
