Resident assisted

RED Guard response officers assisted a Top Town resident who had been attacked in his home and tied up last Thursday.

The resident managed to raise the alarm and response officers found him inside his home, operations manager Willie Reynecke said.

The crime probe was handed over to the police. Several items were stolen from the house. The owner was not hurt.

A woman who had been locked up in the office of a local business during a robbery was assisted by response officers, who called in the help of a locksmith on Saturday.

The incident was handed over to the police.

Over the weekend, response officers apprehended a suspect following the theft of copper pipes from a general dealer. These were recovered and returned to the owner.
