Man dies after dog attack

A CACADU (formerly Lady Frere) man has died after he was allegedly attacked by dogs in the Glen Grey area.

Police spokesman Captain Namhla Mdleleni said the man, whose name has not been released, was believed to have been on his way home from shepherding duties in nearby veld when he was attacked last Thursday.

He was found lying in his yard in a pool of blood with several bite marks to his body by neighbours the next day and taken to hospital where he died.

Mdleleni said police had lodged an inquest and were investigating. – Rep reporter
