Komani has several ‘local heroes’

- GIVE CREDIT of Komani writes:

There are a few people I think should be acknowledged as being “local heroes” of Komani.

Adré Bartis, Chris de Wet, Juan Reynders, Shaun Adolph, Tokkie Deysel and Zuko Mandile deserve praise for their excellent service to the community and for going beyond the call of duty, taking time out of their private lives to do the jobs that our municipality has neglected to do.

They have assisted in terms of electrical outages, leaking water, blocked drains, cleaning up public grounds, cutting grass, arranging to move cattle left wandering unattended in neighbourhoods or on public roads and phoning and reporting traffic problems on behalf of people who care about the safety and wellbeing of the people of this town and the Queenstown Concerned WhatsApp group has expressed its appreciation.

In addition, praise should go to Juan Reynders (mentioned above), Adele Reynders and Ulandi Crous from The Guardians for saving animals by re-homing them.

They go so far as to personally go to the pets’ new home and ensure that the living conditions are good enough and they help the sick/injured animals, both people’s pets and the strays.

The aforementioned people always keep us updated as to the progress thereof instead of leaving us in the dark – sometimes literally – the way the municipalities do.
