he Komani Local Football Association (LFA) league is in its final stages with Try Again FC leading Stream A with 35 points and 7 Stars topping Stream B.

All soccer games on Saturday in Stream A ended in draws, which disadvantaged the teams at the bottom of the leader board.

Phoenix FC played against Kaizer United and drew

2-2, with a draw for Rovers and Try Again 1-1.

The game between FC Atletico and the Burning Spears ended in a 1-1 draw and the Rainbow Stars drew 2-2 with All Stars.

In the Stream B games on Saturday, 1860 was beaten 2-0 by Komani Conquerer and 7 Stars drew

1-1 in a match against Super 12. Nkwanca United lost

1-0 to the Ravens.

On Sunday, Try Again cemented their first position in Stream A by beating Phoenix 3-0. They are in second position.

Phoenix coach Ringo Klaas said his team had lost twice against Try Again during the league and that some of his best players had been away on holiday.

“We are usually a hard team to beat but Try Again was better off. Congratulations to them for the win.”

The Ravens played against Dynamos and drew 3-3 in a controversial game which saw one of Dynamos’ players punched in the face by a Ravens team member after he was wrongfully tackled.

The incident led to the Ravens playing with only 11 players. The match ended 3-3.

Ravens coach Mninawa Dubase said he had to instil discipline among the players to prevent the recurrence of such an incident.
