Last Tuesday morning, the owner of a business in Robinson Road called the Red Guard 24-hour control room and reported that he had seen a suspect stealing a cellphone from his vehicle the previous day, operations manager Willie Reinecke told The Rep.

Response officers were dispatched and apprehended the suspect, who admitted that he had stolen the phone, but would return it to the owner.

The suspect was released. That afternoon, a resident in Melton Gardens called for assistance after noticing suspects on his property stealing bags of animal feed.

Response officers dispatched to the farm could not apprehend the suspects but they did recover six stolen bags of feed in a nearby field.

On Wednesday evening, response officers who attended a nearby panic alarm activation apprehended three suspects in Dickerson Street carrying tools that were possibly stolen.

The key holder of the business was called and from CCTV footage it could be seen that the three suspects had jumped over the fence.

The stolen tools were handed back to the business owner and the suspects were released.

On Thursday morning, response officers attended to an alarm at a house in Berry Street. They apprehended two suspects in Fletcher Street with a bolt cutter.

On further investigation it was discovered that the suspects had broken into the garage of the house.

They were handed over to the police.

On Saturday, a response officer on his way to attend to an alarm at a business in Creamery Road saw a suspicious person on a bicycle.

He investigated and it was established that the suspect had stolen a generator from the business where the alarm had been triggered.

The generator was recovered under a bridge. It was handed back to the business owner and the suspect was released.
