The soft, soaking rain that fell last weekend was a most welcome sign of the beginning of spring, but while it will do wonders for our gardens and the veld, there was no run-off to make any difference to the level of our water supply dams, which remain critically low.
And with the hot weather about to begin, usage and evaporation will increase exponentially, so consumers should remain ever-conscious of saving this precious commodity.
Condolences are extended to the families and friends of Roy Wormald, Nomahlubi Ngwane, Wendy Simana, Nontsekelelo Neyabo, Kholiswa Matiwane Cokeype August, Elphus Ndlela, Jan Bouwer, Zoleka Mbengo, Mongezi Nashishi, Thabiso Mabona, and Lennert Linda.
