The Rep

What do you think about …

- CHUMA MAHLOMANE

Recently the former mayor of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba, launched a political party called Action SA. The Rep reporter, Ntsikelelo Qoyo, asked people in Komani if they would vote for the party and if they think SA needs a new political formation.

Chuma Mahlomane from Top Town

It is a good idea. I think there is still space for another party. In the upcoming

elections we will be voting for individuals and I think we need everyone standing up against corruption.

Michael Brown from Queendustria

I do not really know if it will help anything. They must do what they think is right and we will just keep voting.

Rendall Potgieter

from Cape Town

No, I do not support it. There

are too many political parties and they are all doing nothing. They all just make promises.

I think they are all just wasting government money.

Kerenza Windvoël from Whittlesea

I am not against it, but I would not vote for it.

I think we have a lot of political parties in SA already.

I do not think he will be bringing anything new.

Arthur-James Boucher

from Top Town

At this stage, I am not interested in politics.

I work for the municipality and it is the political system that is ruining everything.

I do not think we need politicians, not in the sense of what they are doing now.

Politicians are supposed to be serving people, but are not. Mashaba did well in Johannesburg, but there was still corruption. It s not a oneman thing. It needs all of us.
