What does your job role entail?

My job as a sports reporter in the Chris Hani District involves covering sports and researching programme topics and background information for featured items.

What do you like about what you do?

The thing I like most about my job is the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people, brought together by their shared love of sports.

What impact do you want to make in your job space?

I’d like to encourage the development of young kids through sports and the appreciation of women’s participation and other involvement in sports.

Women are often the biggest supporters of sports, with brothers, fathers, and sons playing.

What societal issue do you feel does not get enough attention?

Lack of service delivery in rural areas.

I feel like people who live in rural areas are still being segregated from the rest of society, even today.

Will you be voting and what outcome do you wish for after the upcoming elections?

Yes, I will be voting, and I hope to see positive changes as a result of the upcoming elections, even if it is small because we have not seen much in the 30 years of democracy.

What would you like to see more of in The Rep newspaper?

I’d like to see more stories about everyday people who are doing good things in their communities.

It would be nice to learn about the positive impact that ordinary people are having on their communities

What is your reaction to Bafana Bafana’s Afcon performance?

I’m proud of how they performed and feel like they have reached their true potential and it can only get better, thanks to Hugo Broos for allowing the

Bafana Bafana players to play freely with only one role of getting positive results in whatever they do on the field.

What type of music are you into and why?

I love amapiano because it combines many different sounds and instruments into one cohesive genre. The way the sounds are fused together creates something that is incredibly cohesive.

What do you enjoy reading about?

I enjoy reading about development in sports and about community development.

What do you like about your home town?

I like the rich history Cala has in politics and sports. I especially admire the undying passion the people in my home town have for soccer.
