-

MINING and construction company Civcon Construction had agreed to pay a near R800 000 penalty for colluding on the South Deep mine project, the Competition Tribunal said yesterday. The penalty was R798 385 for colluding with Infraset, a division of Aveng (Africa), on the September 2006 project, registrar Lerato Motaung said. “This agreement follows a Competition Commission investigation that uncovered widespread collusion in the construction industry.” – Sapa
