R132bn rail­way for Nige­ria

CHINA has agreed to a $12 bil­lion (R132bn) deal to build a rail­way line in Nige­ria, state-run Xin­hua me­dia re­ported yes­ter­day. The planned 1 400km rail­way, to be built by state firm China Rail­way Con­struc­tion Corp, will run from the main city of La­gos in the west to the south-east­ern port of Cal­abar. It was the big­gest for­eign in­fra­struc­ture deal signed by China, Xin­hua said.
