R132bn railway for Nigeria
CHINA has agreed to a $12 billion (R132bn) deal to build a railway line in Nigeria, state-run Xinhua media reported yesterday. The planned 1 400km railway, to be built by state firm China Railway Construction Corp, will run from the main city of Lagos in the west to the south-eastern port of Calabar. It was the biggest foreign infrastructure deal signed by China, Xinhua said.
