Three-way tie for Oppenheimer trophy

JASON Froneman, Jason Viljoen and reigning Nomads SA Boys U-19 Strokeplay champion Tristen Strydom vaulted into a three-way share of the lead in the third round of the Harry Oppenheimer Trophy at Maccauvlei Golf Club in Vereeniging yesterday. Froneman fired a two under 70 and fellow Ekurhuleni Strydom carded a 71, while Central Gauteng’s Viljoen surged into contention at eight-under-par 208 after he sealed a six-under-par 66 with an eagle-three at the 18th. The trio will carry a one shot lead into today’s final round over Ekurhuleni’s Paul Boshoff and Ryan Dreyer from Central Gauteng.
