Three-way tie for Op­pen­heimer trophy

JA­SON Frone­man, Ja­son Viljoen and reign­ing No­mads SA Boys U-19 Stroke­play cham­pion Tris­ten Strydom vaulted into a three-way share of the lead in the third round of the Harry Op­pen­heimer Trophy at Mac­cau­vlei Golf Club in Vereenig­ing yes­ter­day. Frone­man fired a two un­der 70 and fel­low Ekurhu­leni Strydom carded a 71, while Cen­tral Gaut­eng’s Viljoen surged into con­tention at eight-un­der-par 208 after he sealed a six-un­der-par 66 with an ea­gle-three at the 18th. The trio will carry a one shot lead into to­day’s fi­nal round over Ekurhu­leni’s Paul Boshoff and Ryan Dreyer from Cen­tral Gaut­eng.
