Power bill slaying: 4 in court

-

A 34-YEAR-OLD man appeared briefly in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court yesterday for allegedly gunning down his tenant after an argument over an electricity bill. Along with his wife Sandra Khosi Mabizela, Nkululeko Nkosi faces charges of aggravated assault and murder. Appearing with them was Manelisi Mthembu and Abraham Nkosinathi Nkosi. The charges arose from the death of Sierra Leonean Sahr Thomas Fillie, who was allegedly slapped, punched, kicked, bitten on a finger and shot in the abdomen after a row over an electricity bill. The case was postponed for outstanding ballistics and DNA test results. – Omphitlhetse Mooki
