Ian Player resting after stroke
NATURE conservationist Ian Player is recovering after suffering a serious stroke with complications, the Wilderness Network said yesterday. “He is comfortably at home in the Karkloof, KwaZulu-Natal, where he is supported by his wife Ann and family members,” the organisation said. “The family are grateful for the well wishes they have received, but request privacy during this period.” An update would be given when there was a change in his condition. Player, 87, suffered a stroke last Thursday. Player is the older brother of golfer Gary Player. – Sapa
