NATURE conservati­onist Ian Player is recovering after suffering a serious stroke with complicati­ons, the Wilderness Network said yesterday. “He is comfortabl­y at home in the Karkloof, KwaZulu-Natal, where he is supported by his wife Ann and family members,” the organisati­on said. “The family are grateful for the well wishes they have received, but request privacy during this period.” An update would be given when there was a change in his condition. Player, 87, suffered a stroke last Thursday. Player is the older brother of golfer Gary Player. – Sapa
