Rebels killed in ambush

GOVERNMENT forces killed at least 30 rebels in an ambush in the suburbs of Damascus, state media and activists said. State news agency Sana said 50 “terrorists” had been killed in the ambush on Wednesday night as they tried to flee the eastern suburb of Maydaa. Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least 30 men had been killed.
