AN­GLO AMER­I­CAN PLAT­INUM hosted its 16th an­nual PlatAfrica awards event at a gala din­ner in part­ner­ship with the Metal Con­trac­tors.

The an­nual PlatAfrica com­pe­ti­tion has be­come syn­ony­mous with ex­cel­lence in plat­inum jew­ellery de­sign and man­u­fac­ture, and is one of An­glo Amer­i­can Plat­inum’s key ben­e­fi­ci­a­tion ac­tiv­i­ties in the area of in­vest­ing in de­vel­op­ing mar­kets for plat­inum group met­als.

In cel­e­bra­tion of South Africa’s abun­dant min­eral wealth, and in par­tic­u­lar the beauty of plat­inum, the theme of PlatAfrica 2014 chal­lenged both pro­fes­sional and stu­dent de­sign­ers to “cre­ate an orig­i­nal master­piece from source to you”.
