Not legalising it won’t make it go

- Jack Miller

THE EFFRONTERY, hypocrisy and self-righteousness of Mohamed Saeed beggars belief (“Legalising sex trade bad for morals”, The Star Letters, August 19).

He urges every South African who believes in morality, values and the sanctity of marriage to keep prostitution illegal.

May I say to Saeed, please start writing to the press condemning worldwide practices of sex slavery and the kidnapping of mainly women and girls for sex and slavery.

If Saeed imagines that prostitution can ever be eliminated, he is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Legalising prostitution will make it safer for all in terms of security and health. Gresswold, Joburg
