Infant-porn ring: couple in court

A PORT Elizabeth man and woman accused of being part of a syndicate that distributed images of babies being sexually abused appeared in the city’s magistrate’s court yesterday. Jayde Sheldon and a 22-year-old woman from Westering are alleged to have been part of an international child-pornography ring that distributed footage of the rape, torture and murder of babies, including newborns. An investigating team in Joburg was working together with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Belgian police. The case was postponed to February 16 for a correctional supervision report. – ANA
