Coach Corini part ways with Palermo

-

PALERMO coach Eugenio Corini has quit his job after seven Serie A league games at the helm of the Sicily side, the ANSA news agency reported yesterday. Corini, a former midfielder with the Sicilians, took over in November from Roberto De Zerbi, who had replaced Davide Ballardini two games into the season. Under Corini, Palermo suffered five defeats, clinching a win and a draw. They sit second-last on 10 points from 21 games, with a gap of 11 points to the safety of fourth-last place as 17 matches remain. Palermo, who went through eight different coaches in the past season, are reportedly intending to name a new coach for Sunday’s game at Napoli.
