How clean is Eskom’s chief executive?

- Graham Frederick

READING your report (Star Business, January 25) on Eskom and independent power producers (IPP) spat, I see a picture included, that of interim group chief executive Matshela Koko.

He holds a powerful position within Eskom at present.

He was caught on a Carte Blanche exposé last year, lying through his teeth about a Gupta contract although this type of behaviour is normal for ANC cadres.

I wonder why the issue has never been challenged or even discussed in the media.

Surely he should not be allowed to get away with what he did?

One shudders to think what he’s up to at present, without the tax-paying public even knowing about it. Westdene
