Why aren’t these cars being recalled in SA?

THANK you so much for your main article on Monday, February 6. When I went to Mercedes head office, regarding the burning of my tail-light holders and the recall in England and Australia, management told me for all they know I drove my Mercedes into a lake and now I have goldfish in my boot!

I took this newspaper article to Mercedes Sandton. With many arguments and phone calls they did agree to refund me for the two lamp holder fittings. I had taken many photos of my C Class to show where the rear tail lights were not working.

You would help many clients by forcing Mercedes to recall the faulty light fitting and undersized earth wire. Andre Graber
