SA youth concerned over corrupt leaders

- Kari Kriel

I AM a proud Grade 8 student of St Martin’s School. Former St Martin’s students such as Oliver Tambo, and priests such as Father Huddleston have motivated me to speak out on South African leadership and its economic complications.

The leadership in South Africa has recently become a very upsetting subject.

However, South Africa has come a long way since 1994 and we have adapted in unbelievable ways.

I am disappointed that our president, Jacob Zuma, has the right to reshuffle the cabinet without putting the country’s needs first.

South African citizens pay a large amount of tax.

This income is supposed to go towards providing basic necessities and not towards our president’s personal luxuries.

We need to take this situation to social media so we as the younger generation are heard.

The youth constitute only 37%; however, we are 100% of the future. #ZUMAMUSTFALL. Grade 8 learner at St Martin’s
