7 die in Afghan blast
HERAT: Up to seven people were confirmed dead and 17 others injured after a bomb blast rocked the western Herat city of Afghanistan yesterday, provincial police chief Mohammad Ayub Ansari said.
All victims are civilians including women and children, added Ansari, saying the explosive device was planted in a motorbike and detonated next to the grand mosque in Herat city, 640km west of Kabul.
Earlier in the day, a blast shocked Kabul city during an international conference on the peace process in Afghanistan, attended by delegates from across the globe. Xinhua –
