R2m settlement is reached

BIDVEST Group has agreed to pay a R2 million settlement for taking over the control of Adcock Ingram before the merger of the two companies was approved by the Competition Tribunal. “In order to avoid protracted and expensive litigation, the respondents have, without admitting guilt, reached a settlement with the Competition Commission which has been confirmed by the Competition Tribunal.
