Yet another embarrassment in SA
JUST when we thought our country has dealt with enough embarrassment in recent weeks, we woke up to yet another disgraceful moment in the history
of our correctional service centres.
It is rather outrageous how strippers can be allowed to entertain prisoners, some of whom, by the way, are sex offenders. Some of them are facing or serving life in prison.
Should we find comfort that officials responsible were suspended?
Definitely NO. They should have been fired right on the spot for the manner in which they turned that prison into a strip club.
What will be next? Reducing our prisons into brothels?
Our country has been reduced to a banana republic many times by those we put our trust in. The image of this country has been ruined and it seems like the only thing that is going to save us is moral regeneration. Braamfontein
