Farm vehicles fetch ‘fantastic’ prices at auction

Investments made are a ‘postive sign’

-

LAST week’s successful truck and trailer auction showed positive agricultural sentiments all around, says LeRoy Augustyn of Park Village Auctions

“The auction was well attended, leading to fantastic prices for farm equipment across the board,” he said.

“This is a positive sign that farmers recognise the value for money that auctions offer, and see auctions as a smart and sustainable way towards further investment in their farms.”

Noteworthy sale prices (excluding VAT) recorded at the auction last Thursday included:

A 2013 Volkswagen 4.250 drop-side rigid truck with crane: R860 000.

A 2015 John Deer 612C 12-row corn header: R375000.

A 2015 Hyno 500 1626 drop side rigid truck: R670 000.

A 2014 UD GW26-140 truck tractor: R500 000.

A Landini Technofarm R-60 tractor: R165 000.

A 2014 Kerney side-tipper link trailer: R100 000.

Park Village Auction’s next truck and trailer auction will be held on September 14 at 10.30am.

A wide variety of bank-repossessed truck tractors, yellow metal, “rigids” and trailers as well as other assets is expected to be on offer.
