FNB won’t release details

-

I’M FROM Mamelodi. I saw an advert on OLX for an Audi A3 for R60 000 on December 2 last year.

I called the motor dealer and was told that the car was on auction, so I had to pay in advance so they could reserve the car for me as there were other interested parties.

I deposited R60 000 into the dealer’s FNB account in Silverton that day, and was told to fetch the vehicle in Boksburg that afternoon.

When I arrived at the address they provided, it was an open field with no buildings. I called the cellphone and office number, but the numbers weren’t answered.

I went to the FNB nearby and was told that the money had been withdrawn from their account, but they could give no details, so I went to the police station to open a case. Nothing has happened to this day, and I have been told the police are still waiting for the account holder’s details from the bank. Every time I call or go there, I’m told the same story. Please help. Johnny Chauke
