What is president’s business plan for SA?

- JEAN MICHEL BOUVIER BRYANSTON

AFTER the Sona hullabaloo, no one seemed to be paying much attention to the comments by some of the esteemed guests interviewed just outside Parliament. One of the statements that really freaked me out was from none other than the president of the Black Management Forum (BMF), who said that “the president’s speech was an impressive and very well articulated business plan”.

To me, all the president did was keep reading from his “wish list” of what he hoped to do, with no details at all, such as strategy and specific actions, time frames, costs (that run into the trillion rand) and, of course, where will he find all the money and qualified people (management teams) to pull us out of the quagmire?

Does this guy from the BMF really know what a business plan entails? I guess not.

Because if he did, he would have kept his mouth shut like he should have done three weeks ago, when he wanted to take legal action against Pravin Gordhan for appointing a white person as chief executive of Denel, even after Parliament approved him on merit. Unfortunately, these are the idiots in top positions who have run our country into the ground, but are still blind to the damage they have done.
