We need a change of attitude in this country

- JOHN R WHITLOCK

SOUTH Africa not only needs a change of government, but a change of attitude. For far too long citizens, both black and white, have been given the run-around by the ruling party with their unfulfilled promises, and the racist rhetoric by the so-called revolutionary groups who have really done absolutely nothing to uplift, not only the country, but the poor as well.

For 24 years the ruling elite, family and friends, and other groups have been lining their pockets, and obscenely increasing their bank accounts, while thousands of the poor have to scrounge in germ-infested rubbish dumps for food.

Thousands of children go to bed without having had a decent meal all day. The numerous investigations and mind-boggling testimonies bear witness to this fact. They should be ashamed of themselves. Where is their self-respect?

All citizens, black and white, must put aside their differences, get together as one nation, and oust these criminals. Sunnyridge, Germiston
