The Star Late Edition

Gives viewers an All Access pass to Molamu…

-

ay ansi is am actually a fun person who just happens to act as a bad guy. This is the same reason I am on radio, just so people know the real me outside of acting,” said a cheerful Molamu.

Molamu shared what viewers can expect on this season of All Access Mzansi, and how he’s happy to be part of it.

“All Access is a dope show. We go to different events where we meet several stars, some of whom I have admired and I love their work. This is the time I get to ask them how they are doing and what else they are busy with. I am really excited to be part of the team,” he said.

You might know him from his theatre work and the small screen, but the hosting arena is still new to him, something he does not dispute. He has, however, done TV presenting before.

“Right after Generations I presented a game show called What’s Behind the Wall? on SABC2. That was my first paying gig and I put it in the work. We were shooting something like seven episodes a day. In fact, I remember that I auditioned on a Monday, then I was called on the Tuesday to shoot. I had to learn the format as we went,” he said.

When the opening for All Access Mzansi arose, Molamu had to go through the audition process, like everyone else.

“I feel sometimes that I should not still be auditioning, but that is the nature of the job so I don’t mind doing it. I found out about All Access Mzansi through my agent and then went for the audition. When I got the call, I was shocked. I was shooting on that day so I could not change and went in with the wrong attire. To add to that, I was late so I found myself apologising the whole time and thought I would not get it,” he recalled.

Speaking about his co-hosts, Molamu described them as not only easy on the eye, but hard-working, too.

“I like working with my co-hosts, Mbali Nkosi and Nomalanga Shozi, who are beautiful women. The one thing about them that many people don’t know is that they don’t just look good on TV, they actually put in the hours, and I respect that,” he said.

The show adds to Molamu’s full diary, but he is not complaining.

“Please watch All Access Mzansi. It plays after Greed & Desire so for those who like my work, they get to watch me for a whole hour on Thursdays,” he said with satisfaction.

All Access Mzansi airs on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) at 8pm on Thursdays.
