SOYA beans increased for the first time in a week on the Chicago Board of Trade yesterday, snapping the longest run of losses in a month, as speculators boost bullish bets to the highest since July.
Beans for January delivery gained 0.9 percent to $10.36 a bushel (R5 246 a ton).
“We are positive on the out- look for soya beans demand,” Caroline Bain, analyst at Capital Economics in London, said in a report. “At the same time, the supply outlook is also positive.”
Wheat for March increased 0.6 percent to $4.06 a bushel.
Maize for same delivery month advanced 0.3 percent to $3.48 a bushel. – Bloomberg
