The Star Late Edition

WEEK

-

THE HIGH-FLYING Cape Town City dominate our Team of the Week as they continue to sit at the summit of the Absa Premiership. Their inspirational captain Lebogang Manyama leads by example upfront. His last minute goal against Bidvest Wits, his second on the night and eighth in total, ensured that City returned to Cape Town with four points from the city of gold after they played to a 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday last week.

Thato Mokeke, with his flexibility and crisp passes, has found himself under coach Eric Tinkler. He has shone wherever he has been used. But if Manyama is the inspirational leader, Aubrey Ngoma is the inspiration itself. The 27-yearold has been the master of assists. He has a hand in most of the club’s goals. Ngoma is part of a midfield that’s anchored by Roland Putsche and Travis Graham.

Khama Billiat is on the right flank after Mamelodi Sundowns demolished Free State Stars.

Percy Tau did most of that demolition job, scoring a brace as his star continues to rise.
