Two die, 41 hurt in Israel bus crash

TEL AVIV: Two people were killed and 41 injured when a bus overturned in an accident on a highway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem yesterday.

The injured passengers were taken to hospital, two of them in critical condition, according to emergency service Magen David Adom.

The accident involved a bus and a private vehicle and occurred on Highway 443 outside the Israeli settlement of Beit Horon in the West Bank.

Pictures of the scene showed the bus lying on its side with the windshield smashed. Another vehicle at the scene appeared to be almost completely destroyed.
