Mbomvu, Somahhashi, (Ngubane’s clan) was angry and irritated but, in the end, he was exposed and left 100 percent naked like queens and kings of Saxonwold Shebeen – Zuma, Mosebenzi Zwane, Des van Rooyen, Brian Molefe, Faith Muthambi and the family of the president.
We are left with a question: “why is the president so indebted to Ngubane, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, Ellen Tshabalala, Dudu Myeni,Muthambi, Muziwendoda Kunene, Mabheleni Ntuli, Marius Schoeman and many other controversial elements?
Is it because of tribalism or Ngubane’s family business interests that make Zuma, Ngubaneand Motsoeneng “terrible triplets?” When proxies of the president chase Pravin Gordhan, Ivan Pillay, Anwa Dramat, Robert McBride, Nhlanhla Nene, the president embraces controversial elements like Ngubane, Mthandazo Ntlemeza, Richard Mdluli, Kunene, and SADF Caprivians who served in the Zulu Police.
Mbomvu (Ngubane) served in the SRC of the University of Natal’s Medical School but never joined democratic forces like Drs Albertina Luthuli, James Njongwe, Nthatho Motlana, Yusuf Dadoo, Bitini A Xuma, Nomvana Ntshangase, Mantombazana Tshabalala Msimang, Chotha Motala, Joe Phahla, Aaron Motsoaledi, Percy Mahlati and Vejay Ramlakan.
Ngubane and Drs Dennis Madide and Frank Mdlalose served IFP and KwaZulu Bantustan with distinction while Drs Ayanda Tsaluba, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Zweli Mkhize, and Luthuli were in exile.
Medical students who were sponsored by the KwaZulu Bantustan were forced to sign “loyalty pledges” never to criticise Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi who was Ngubane’s boss.
Medical students like Sbongiseni Dlomo, Siphiwe Nyanda, Charles Ndaba, Joel Netshitenzheand Phumezo Nxiweni were MK operatives. Ngubane vowed to go to court if he was removed as chairman of the Eskom board. He said he would challenge this with “my might and I am sure decent citizens of this country will contribute to my fund to challenge my removal”. The honourable medical doctor did not have money to challenge the public protector’s report on the SABC which has damaging implications on him.
Ngubane is a graduate but sees nothing wrong with a “matric-less person” heading the SABC. Those who left for exile were given two choices; “school or MK. Credit for this goes to Oliver Tambo who wanted cadres to be trained and developed academically.
Ngubane and (Social Development spokeswoman) Lumka Oliphant are first nominees for “January Mampara” trophy. SABC inquiry MPs have my standing ovation; SABC, the New Age, Saxonwold Unholy Alliance Must Fall!
