Secure your future in the financial sector – now

-

GUARANTEE Trust Institute of Business (GTIB) was recently launched to offer careers in banking, accounting and the financial services sector.

What is unique about this new business college is its training methods:

1. Its emphasis on skills development (communication skills, business etiquette, computer skills) as well as technical knowledge.

2) Its simulation of real work environments. Bankers are trained in a “virtual bank” process that exposes them to actual banking conditions and procedures, developed in collaboration with banking specialists. Similarly, accountants are trained using a proprietary “virtual office” environment that exposes them to the real-life requirements of taking a company’s books to trial balance on the day they enter employment.

The college has a long history in providing work-readiness programmes in the banking, accounting, and finance sectors.

GTIB’s sister company, Guarantee Trust Corporate Support Services, has placed more than 10 000 graduates in employment over the past 13 years, with a 90 percent placement rate. An in-house recruitment unit has developed close relations with employers in both the public and private sectors, making it simpler to assist learners in finding employment.

GTIB has realised that employers are looking for skills rather than a piece of paper that says you have passed an exam. Most tertiary qualifications focus on academic achievement, but graduates are left ill-prepared for the demands of the workplace. Their programmes directly address that need.

GTIB programmes offer learners three study options to cater for all needs: a contact option; a distance model with telephonic support and a part-time option. All options include learners being assigned a personal study coach and access to an e-learning portal, which includes activities and practice exams and other resources.

Learners can begin their studies any month of the year and can complete their training in 12 to 15 months, at which point they are ready to launch their careers.
