Actress’s funeral will be live-streamed today
LEGENDARY actress Mary Twala will be buried today in what will be a family-only funeral to adhere to the current lockdown regulations.
“The service will be held at a venue in Soweto and be live-streamed across various news and social media outlets between 7.30am and 9.30pm on Thursday,” said the family in a statement released yesterday.
The burial will be streamed on the social media platforms of her celebrity son, Somizi Mhlongo.
“The funeral will adhere to the current national funeral restrictions of only 50 attendees allowed.”
Twala, 79, died at Netcare’s Park Lane Hospital last week after she was admitted there several days ago.
