THE PEOPLE trying to turn old GPO (post office) tunnels in the Joburg CBD into new walkways don’t know where they’re living (“Joburg undergroun­d marvel”, The Star, September 21).

Take a look at the crime stats and you’ll get the idea. Shortly after opening, it will be a haven for the homeless.

WHILE I respect anybody who achieves 80, I wonder if such an age makes you forgetful?

Much praise has been poured upon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela who has achieved that notable age, but no mention made of the notorious Mandela United Soccer Club or the subjects of their brand of justice – Stompie Seipei and his three friends!

The records show the woman who is now 80 was the instigator. Is this now a state secret?
