Meet Portia Mngomezulu, owner of Portia M Skincare. What inspired Portia M? Africa has a wide range of amazing ingredients with properties that are good for our skin. I wanted to take advantage of that so everyone can enjoy beautiful skin. What’s the main ingredient in your range and why? The Marula Tree Oil is rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids and other nutrients. I chose to use it because it has sentimental value to me; I used to play under the Marula tree while growing up in Phalaborwa in Limpopo. Little did I know that this would be an amazing ingredient for my skincare range one day. What’s the philosophy behind Portia M? It’s a beauty range that’s formulated specifically for women who live in Africa. Our standards are very high. All our ingredients are sourced responsibly and we don’t harm the environment. What’s your number one beauty rule? You have to feel beautiful on the inside for it to reflect outside. Eat well and drink lots of water.
