Be a war­rior: Be pre­pared for those in­ter­nal voices that tell you to quit. Get ready to take them on. Re­mem­ber, the strength of your de­sire to reach the goal has to be greater than what holds you back.

Get in­spired: Talk to peo­ple who’ve achieved the fit­ness goals that you’re pur­su­ing. Your self-con­fi­dence will soar.

Set­backs are fine: Your progress won’t be a straight di­ag­o­nal line. It will slow down or even go back­wards at times. That’s nor­mal. Mon­i­tor your progress: On a weekly ba­sis, keep track of your work­outs in terms of the num­ber of sets, weights, dis­tance, time, etc. Your mo­ti­va­tion will in­crease as you see those re­sults in­crease over time.
