Captain America (aka Steve Rogers) is in a tight spot. His SHIELD boss Nick Fury is dead and evil organisation Hydra has secretly been plotting to take over. How are they doing that? They’ve had spies within SHIELD’s ranks since its inception and the military programme InSight is going to launch three giant warships into the sky that will predict future enemies and kill them. So what’s a guy to do? Team up with sultry-but-deadly Agent Romanoff and an ex-military man who’s wearing a winged suit as they take on Hydra’s top dog. There’s only one problem: the bad guy’s got a vicious assassin known as The Winter Soldier and the fact that he’s able to dish out a serious beating on the Captain isn’t Steve’s biggest problem – The Winter Soldier is someone close to him! Why it’s hot: for starters, it’s a Marvel movie and whatever they touch turns to platinum. Chris Evans is epic as Steve/Captain, Samuel L Jackson is bad-ass in his role as Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson is sexy and tough playing Natasha Romanoff again. Special shout-out goes to Robert Redford for being a sneaky double-crossing bad guy – he plays it so well. The action is amazing and betters that of the 2011 first Captain America movie, and the fight scenes between the Captain and The Winter Soldier are ridiculously cool. If you like your superhero action flicks, this is a definite must for your collection. Plus, there’s going to be a third one…
