Just Shoot Me

-

Pint-sized actor david Spade is famous for his sarcastic comedy style. Need proof? Check out his role as dennis Finch in Just Shoot me (1997-2003), as well as Rules Of Engagement (Tuesdays, SAbC3, 20:00). but sarcasm requires streetsmarts and the 50-year-old is definitely no dummy – after all, he has a business degree that he got in 1986 from the University Of Arizona. And that’s not his only accomplishment…

david started his TV career in 1990 as a writer and actor on the comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live (1975current). He only made three appearances in his first year, but that changed in 1992 when he started presenting the show’s Hollywood minute news bulletin routine, poking fun at Hollywood superstars. His first film role was in 1987’s Police Academy 4: Citizens On Patrol, then he starred in the 1996 dark comedy black Sheep with his best friend Chris Farley. but david is probably best known as hillbilly Joe dirt in the 2001 cult hit film Joe dirt. david refused to go to Chris Farley’s funeral in 1997 after he died from a drug overdose. “i couldn’t go into a room where Chris was in a box,” david revealed. He nearly turned down Just Shoot me – david had several TV offers but declined them all for the chance to work with his mentor George Segal, blush magazine boss Jack Gallo in the sitcom. Publicity-shy david’s not one for marriage, but he is a dad. He has a five-year-old daughter named Harper with 28-year 28-year-old Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace. The actor’s got incredibly sensitive skin, especially to direct sunlight. Even set lights are harmful to him and he wears hats indoors at home. david’s eyes are also light sensitive and were permanently damaged by the set lights and sunlight while filming black Sheep.

?? ?? If david was in a deck of cards, he’d be the ace of Spades.
