tyler posey’s character scott mccall in teen wolf (2011-current) may howl and grow facial hair on a full moon, but away from the cameras tyler’s a goofball. “whenever i use my social media, i like to go extreme and be crazy,” the 23-year-old says. his mom cyndi noticed his acting skills when he was three. “one day i arrived home and he was in ninja turtle undies, wearing cowboy boots with a toy gun. he was acting out a scene from the movie desperado (1995),” she laughs. tyler’s first real acting job was in an ad when he was six years old. in 2002, he moved to the big screen in two movies: the arnold schwarzenegger action flick collateral damage and the jennifer lopez romcom maid in manhattan. tyler auditioned for the role of werewolf jacob black in the twilight movies (2008-2012) but lost out to his good friend taylor lautner. when not acting, tyler’s also a singer and songwriter. the 23-yearold sang and played bass guitar for the group lost in kostko, who later changed names to disappearing jamie. “we disbanded last year,” he adds. he now jams with aussie rockers death! death! die! he has 17 tattoos, including the two striped black armbands on his left arm, which executive producer jeff davies was forced to write into the storyline. his first kiss was with miley cyrus and he dated the ex disney starlet for two years. “i was nine and we both starred in kids show doc (2001-2004)”. he dated his childhood crush, makeup artist seana gorlick for 10 years before he proposed in hawaii in july 2013. they’ve just split up, on 23 october 2014. he’s scared of ghosts and the dark. “i can’t even walk in my house with the lights off,” he admits.
