dylan o’brien’s teen wolf (2011-current) character stiles stilinski is the “uncoolest” cool guy in beacon hills high. he’s clumsy around girls and tries every full moon to stop his werewolf buddy scott mccall (tyler posey) from chewing up his friends and enemies. poor stiles is a geek and the character isn’t far off from real life dylan. “there are so many geeky things about me,” says 23-year-old dylan. “i mean, i geek out about baseball and the x factor. and i’m a star wars geek.” he loves music and drummed for the band slow kids at play, which formed in february 2009. “we had poppunk elements but more of a beachy reggae vibe.” unfortunately dylan had to call it quits in early 2013 due to his busy acting schedule. for teen wolf, he first auditioned for the lead role of scott but says that “when reading the script, i couldn’t help but keep wanting to read the stiles parts. i was like, ‘this guy is freaking awesome.’ i’m way more like stiles than scott!” good decision, dylan. unlike stiles, dylan has better luck with girls. he’s been dating britt robertson from under the dome (2013current; she plays angie mcalister). they met while filming 2012 romcom flick the first time. “she’s the coolest chick i’ve ever met. she’s laidback and funny,” he gushes. in his downtime, dylan goes bowling, plays with his dogs buddy and clyde, and watches friends (1994-2004). “i’ve seen every episode of friends at least 11 times,” he confesses. before teen wolf, dylan’s only claim to fame was his quirky homemade youtube videos, including a memorable one of him singing the spice girls 1996 hit song wannabe. it’s still online if you want to watch and giggle… the good guy does have a flaw, he admits: “i bite my fingernails.”
