Kwaito was accused of raping Rachel after they had sex – by mutual consent. By the time that Kwaito’s name had been cleared, he’d dumped Rachel. And the matric results surprised the Maputlas.

7 – 9 january

Things take a surprising turn at the Maputlas as John demands an apology from the newspaper, and Tbose’s matric results ruffle feathers. Elizabeth is overly mean to Rachel about her relationship with Kwaito but there’s a kernel of truth in her cruelty. And Kat overhears something that scares him and he worries that Marothi is stalking him.

12 – 16 january

Kwaito’s alarmed by Rachel’s irrational behaviour, and Charity is equally shocked by her ex-husband Robert Petersen’s declaration of love – this merely confirms Marothi’s suspicions when he walks in on them at a restaurant. Ma’Kunutu faces Alfred and must deny her true feelings, while Charity feels betrayed by her mom and uncle. Mokgadi digs into Leeto’s past, and Marothi’s fed up with the lack of progress in the lobola negotiations and he kicks things up a notch, leading Charity to tell her family the truth about her life in Scotland. And Leeto lies, flirts and charms Mokgadi to get her to back off printing his true story, but to no avail.

19 – 20 january

Leeto goes on a hot date with Mokgadi, and Tbose’s excitement about moving to Joburg is doused by Leeto’s troubles. Charity confronts the possibility that Koko might be going to jail, while Ma’Ntuli witnesses a shocking moment between Charity and Marothi. Sonti confronts Charity at the hospital reception and causes a scene, and Kwaito realises that he might not make it to university.
