Sussie was first told that she was pregnant, then she suffered a tragic miscarriage. And Astrid tried to get rid of Lindie but wound up dead instead.

7 – 8 january

Stef battles to come to terms with Astrid’s death, while Sussie is also having a breakdown of her own. Lindie realises that her days in the Villa are numbered, while Nico finally settles his tab at Bakgat. Sussie leaves Bloemfontein, and Paul tries to reach out to Stef but doesn’t have any success. Sonja checks herself into the Villa, and Stef distances himself from Vicky. Maryke tries to befriend Anthony, while Eben stumbles across confidential information.

12 – 15 january

An article in the newspaper could end up being harmful for the Rautenbachs, while the executor of Astrid’s estate must first find an unknown man before the will is made public. Sonja’s looking for a job and Eben tries to persuade Marius to hire her. Paul receives bad news, and Nico starts his new job at the Villa. Nico tries to keep out of Stef’s way, Astrid’s body is cremated, and Marius must comfort Lindie and Vicky. Stef digs up the past, while Vicky makes a decision about her future. Vicky and Stef are drifting apart, while Marius is impressed with Sonja but Eben has a different opinion. Paul says goodbye to Carina, Fritz invites Nico to stay in the Villa, and the mysterious Mr Albrecht finally arrives.

19 – 20 january

Stef reads Astrid’s will and the contents leave everyone in attendance shocked. Maryke shows her true colours, and Gunther’s upset when Stef tries to keep him in Bloemfontein. Anthony is worrying about Maryke, and elsewhere Nico and Fritz are becoming firm friends.
